Happy New Year everyone!
The year has started off on a bright note, a lost ATM card and couple of dents on the car notwithstanding, with an article of mine getting published in this weekend's The Hindu Property Plus. It's about a concept that I have long been talking about, the Trivandrum IT Corridor.
You can find the full article here. Please go through it when you find the time; I will appreciate feedback from all of you. Based on that we can go ahead and submit it as a full-blown proposal to the Government.

really informative article which was like a small dossier on what all developmental activities are happening in Trivandrum in the next 10 years..Good to know that so many big projects are in the pipeline..The proposals on infrastructure that you've made to support this huge explosion of development are worth considering. As u said, cities like Bangalore and Chennai have reached a point where they are being strangled for lack of space after rapid development happened..Hope Trivandrum doesn't go that way. And hope the government takes such honest proposals seriously..

Congrats Ajay! You've proven again and again and again the crucial role citizens can adopt in the development of a city...
ReplyDeleteI think you've drafted the best possible options and ideas for the development of the IT Corridor. The ring road concept encircling the city is a really better option than the IT corridor fading away into the Kollam highway. We must try to minimize the sprawl to around 20 km, and above that would be truly disadvantageous to the planners to provide the infrastructure.
Once again Congrats, and keep going...
Congrats Ajay! I just found this - your article in Property Plus... so now, we are colleagues in the sense, both of us have contributed to Property Plus. Keep me posted about your writing ventures. Wish you a very happy new year.
