The
336,200 Sq.ft. New International Terminal of the Trivandrum International Airport is rising fast as the contractor,
CCCL, assembles the steel frame-work of the state-of-the-art building. The Terminal, designed by leading global architecture firm,
Atkins, the Terminal will have one of the most advanced designs among Indian airports and is due to be commissioned in
December 2008.
The contractor has begun erecting the massive steel ribs of the main canopy of the terminal. Due to the massive increase in passenger traffic at the Airport, AAI has started Phase Two of the Terminal work alongside Phase One.
